THE ESSENTIALS

Your appointment is secured only when the requested deposit has been paid and you have received confirmation. The deposit is credited towards the final price of your tattoo—it is not an extra charge.

1. Booking deposit

• £40 for tiny, short, medium and half-day appointments.
• £80 for full-day appointments, including complex or detailed full-day projects.

The correct deposit will be shown before payment. Until it is paid, the proposed date and time may remain available to another client.

2. The price of your tattoo

Any estimate is based on the information available when your appointment is offered, including the concept, placement, size, detail and expected working time. If you ask for a material change, I will explain any effect on the price or session length before we begin.

MINIMUM APPOINTMENT

Bolchat’s studio minimum is £80. Your deposit forms part of that final price.

3. Rescheduling

If you need to move your appointment, please contact me at least 72 hours before the appointment start time.

• With at least 72 hours’ notice, your deposit may be transferred once to a new agreed date.
• A second rescheduling request requires a new deposit.
• A request made with less than 72 hours’ notice is treated as a late change and the original deposit is retained.

A new date is not secured until it has been agreed and confirmed. If illness, an emergency or another exceptional circumstance affects your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible; any flexibility outside these terms remains at Bolchat’s discretion and will be considered fairly.

4. If you cancel

At least 72 hours before your appointment

If you cancel rather than reschedule with at least 72 hours’ notice, the deposit will normally be refunded. If specific design work or another direct, non-recoverable cost has already been incurred for your booking, Bolchat may retain only a reasonable amount reflecting that work or cost and will explain it to you.

Less than 72 hours before your appointment

The deposit is retained because preparation has been completed and the reserved studio time may be difficult to offer to another client at short notice.

5. Late arrival and missed appointments

Please arrive at the confirmed time. If you expect to be late, message me as soon as possible.

• A short delay may reduce the time available without reducing the agreed session price.
• If the remaining time is no longer sufficient to complete the appointment safely and properly, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and a new deposit will be required.
• If you do not attend and have not contacted me, the booking is treated as a no-show. The deposit is retained and a new deposit is required before another appointment can be confirmed.

6. Design preparation and changes

Designs are prepared for the agreed brief. They are not shared in advance; we will go through adjustments, size and placement together at the appointment so you can see the design properly and feel comfortable before we begin.

Small refinements are part of the appointment. A substantial change of concept, subject, placement, scale or style may require a new appointment, revised price or new deposit where additional preparation is needed.

7. If Bolchat needs to change or cancel

If I need to cancel your appointment, you may choose to transfer every payment connected with that appointment to a new agreed date or receive a refund. Bolchat is not responsible for separate travel, accommodation, childcare or other consequential costs, except where the law requires otherwise.

8. Age, suitability and appointment conditions

• Tattooing is strictly for clients aged 18 or over. Valid photographic identification may be requested.
• I may postpone or decline tattooing if it would not be safe or appropriate, including where informed consent cannot be given, relevant information has not been disclosed, the skin is unsuitable, or the client appears affected by alcohol or drugs.
• You may attend alone or with one companion. Groups cannot be accommodated.

Where a booking cannot proceed because an essential condition was not met or important information was withheld, the deposit may be retained only to the extent reasonably connected to preparation, reserved time or other direct loss.

9. Payments and acceptance

The remaining balance is due on the appointment day using the payment methods confirmed by Bolchat. By paying the deposit, you confirm that the appointment details, price basis and this policy were made available to you before booking.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights. Any amount retained following cancellation will be proportionate to the direct loss caused and will take account of reasonable steps Bolchat can take to reduce that loss.

10. Every enquiry comes to me

Every enquiry comes directly to me, and I take the time to read and reply to each one personally — never through an assistant or an automated system.

Please allow up to three working days for me to come back to you.

If you haven’t heard from me after that, please send your message again. Occasionally something may not find its way through, and I would always rather hear from you twice than miss your story altogether.

11. Confirming your appointment date

Talking through your idea or discussing a possible date does not reserve your appointment.

Your date and time become yours once the required deposit has been paid and you have received confirmation from me. Until then, they may remain available to another client.
